There is one principle that I like the most, and it is simplicity. The principle that I have cherished and learnt for the past few years. Simplicity is always easy to recognize. It looks expensive and sounds catchy. Moreover, I want to create a simple atmosphere based on simplicity. I did not remember when I laid my mind on this principle, while all I can say is simplicity has changed me since then. Furthermore, it would be better if we could discuss my dearest principle, simplicity.
"Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication" - Leonardo da Vinci
The simplicity principle is primarily found in design. Being simple in design products could leave a strong impression on the people when they see and use them. Simple and elegant design create an attraction and drive people to observe it more and make a high chance for people to buy it. Furthermore, the simpler the product, the more valuable it is to others. Logically, if we could not understand how the products work, we could not use them.
Create an impression thru design, make people think about it regularly. Withal, an elegant design is mostly the simplest among all. Having a simple technique could help us to be noticed swiftly. Moreover, having a simple mind could achieve a goal faster. Simplicity is the key to drive people and create an elegant and luxurious impression.
Understanding the concept of simplicity in design makes me want to adjust it in my realm, education, and becomes my life philosophy. Assuming the idea of simplicity could work not only in design but also in other areas. Moreover, education could be the scope that applies simplicity to succour educators to understand pupils and colleagues better. Furthermore, as a die-hard fan of this philosophy, I am keen to use simplicity as my teaching philosophy.
Steve Jobs once said: "That’s been one of my mantras — focus and simplicity. Simple can be harder than complex. You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it’s worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains.”
Being simple is complicated because we need to understand things we want to create and explain. Withal, being simple takes time and persistence to master. I always learn how to make it simple for my pupils and me so they can understand faster. Withal, assign the projects that are easy to acknowledge and give simple instructions to follow, so they do not feel pressure doing it. I try to apply simplicity in every chance, and I think it works, well, at least for me. The motive in applying the concept of simplicity is to create an elegant impression on people and make them say "it just works."
Maintaining clarity is complex because we have to understand the details. Still, it helps because we could make it simpler and easier for people to understand by acknowledging the information. Furthermore, simplifying the complex information and idea help people to gain a quick understanding. Imagine explaining complex with a simple explanation; people would be amazed and gain a new understanding of things that they do not know before.
Albert Einstein once said: "If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough."
The main point of teaching is to make people understand complex things easily. Moreover, if you could not explain complex things easily, you do not practice simplicity, and even worse, you do not understand the subject.
In conclusion, simplicity is the mantra that changes how we think and behave to create a simple life. Remember, keep it simple, stupid! For all time. Always.
